PGS Global is making a £1.25 million investment in new vehicles and building a new garage and workshop to carry out its own maintenance.

PGS Global Logistics has recently welcomed two Volvo FH Globetrotter tractor units to its fleet and is awaiting the delivery of eight Mercedes Sprinter vans and 12 lorry trailers.

The total spend on these new vehicles is £1 million, and PGS is also ploughing £250,000 into building a new workshop and garage in order to carry out all maintenance on its own vehicles on-site, saving money and time.
PGS founder and Managing director, Paul Eyles, said: “This is a hugely exciting time for the whole PGS family.

“We, like many British companies, were reluctant to spend large amounts of money due to the many concerns which existed over Brexit and what lay ahead.

“But we feel that the time is now right to invest in our company and its future.
“At PGS, we take great pride in what we do for our customers and refuse to accept second best, which is why we wanted to invest in the very best vehicles and have the very best facilities.

“We are very excited about the new vehicles we have coming, and our new workshop and garage will be of huge benefit to us.”

The company is also constructing a new building to house its workshop and garage and is predicting it will be built and operational by October.
